P.E. Noire is a point-and-click adventure game set in Sunnyside Elementary School. You're a Hall Monitor! Help your fellow students and get the riff-raff in line, because the halls of this school are crawling with shady characters.

The fact i can whistle the nerd guy to tell me where malvin is instead of collecting coins

I think that's the only option, I tried to pay him off but the quarters just turned into a whistle
This is so neat! I think I softlocked myself by showing the papers to CC after I'd already been told where the perp is. That unchecked my to-do box and it can't be re-checked. I'm replaying the game now to see if I can speedrun it and if I can get in after that, or if I am still missing a step.
Edit: Yep, that did the trick! I now had a new to-do to confront him in the bathroom. :)

to get batteries get the toy from the boy on the blacktop outside by giving him his lost sock. to get a cassette bring the boy by the nurses office his ball. put the toy in the Mac cheese to release the batteries you will need a net to get them out. Get a net by giving chewed pencil to the sad girl outside (Left if CC) to get the chewed pencil get the new pencil from your locker and give it to the boy infront of the bathroom to chew on.

After getting the notes to CC, the chef appears in the cafeteria. Talk to him, and he will give you a hammer. Use the hammer to get rid of Melvin's privacy (aka, you open his locker).

Loved the gameplay and the illustrations! Helping each student to get different objects was fun and the dialogues were interesting.
Fun game. If I click an empty space in the bottom inventory popup, the game crashes.
It was fun for me to solve problems by giving kids what they needed. Each student had their own problem, and finding the right item or solution was a big part of the adventure. It made the game fun and kept things interesting while I looked around the school.

This is adorable -- I was very much the kind of kid who pretended to be a noir detective all the time, so I found it relatable in a way that was probably not intended, but that I found very enjoyable. It's a great parody of the genre!

Great game! Made a fantastic first impression, and the music was great to listen to for the whole playtime. Great writing on Rhubarb's inner monologue as well; I enjoyed giving it my best readthrough as I played, haha
Admittedly the battery-retrieving chain of events threw me for a loop - my thanks to the comments section below for bailing me out - but a solid experience throughout!
Game is bugged, unfortunately. There's no way to talk to Melvin if you've already found him before. So, basically, it's a linear game where you have to follow the steps in the exact order that the dev planned, or else it gets softlocked.

how do you fix the recorder because I don't know how.
Put the outlaw toy from sock kid in the macaroni pot, use the net from sad girl you gave chewed pencil to fish it out, then confront Melvin in the bathroom
